In the fall of 2019, the originally closed summer cinema area in Smetana Gardens in Nový Jičín was opened to the public. The dilapidated open-air cinema was replaced by a relaxation zone, the dominant feature of which is a body of water surrounded by plants. There is also a small stage with an auditorium, a wading pool, a promenade and flower and herb beds.
You can spend a few quiet moments here, for example during a trip to the Skalky Forest Park and further to the Svinec peak, from where there are beautiful views of the Odra River valley, the Beskydy Mountains and, when visibility is good, even the Jeseníky Mountains.
