The Wallachian Museum takes you back to the time of our ancestors. Have you ever seen barrels made or horses shoed with your own eyes?
During Crafts Days you can meet blacksmiths, masons, coopers, plumbers and many other craftsmen and women. Traditional professions involved in machining and working with wood will be on display, e.g. making wagon wheels, hand-split shingles, handmade bricks and tiles, wiring, working on the loom. Visitors can even try one of the trades for themselves.
You can also have a look at old original Wallachian wooden buildings. You can learn how an ordinary family lived, where they slept, cooked, farmed, where the reeve (mayor) and farmer lived, and how the post office and shop looked at that time. You can also try gnocchi, sauerkraut dumplings and many other specialties in a rustic Wallachian pub.
